Supported Decision Making is a process of supporting and accommodating an adult (age 18+) with a disability through a trusted network to enable them to make life decisions, including (but not limited to) managing finances, medical decisions, and service supports.


This training is created for individuals with developmental disabilities, their families, caregivers, service providers and teachers.


Participants will:

  • Learn what supported decision making is and understand how it can be used in their lives;
  • Understand how to form a supported decision making team;
  • Discover how others have used supported decision making to regain their rights or avoid guardianship;
  • Learn about tools and resources that can be used in the implementation of supported decision making
