Resource Events & Social Events

The Council hosts two (2) large outreach events each year: The Picnic in the Park and The Family Fun Festival.  These are great opportunities to learn about innovative area resources and well as to meet new and old friends.

The Council also participates as a resource vendor at several community events each year with many community agencies. If you would like to invite the Council to participate in your agency's resource fair event, please email Shawna Dellecave.

The Picnic in the Park

Part of The Council's established history, this picnic is a fun and relaxing time to socialize with peers.  This event always included music, outdoor games, art making, lunch, raffle prizes.  This event takes place in June/July annually.

The Family Fun Festival

This fesitval is a combination resource fair and entertainment showcase held in the Oct/Nov at Churchill Park School.  We strive to present a wide array of vendors who offer products/services that support an individual's social, emotional and developmental needs.  The entertainment showcase is tailored to highlight the talent of local groups, teams, and clubs that support inclusion of individuals with developmental disabilities.  Attendees also receive free lunch and art making activities.

If you are interested in participating as a vendor at our Picnic in the Park or Family Fun Festival, please email Shawna Dellecave to request a vendor application.
